EXAMPLE OF RECOUNT TEXT

Example 1:

Last holidays I visited my grandmother in Jogjakarta. I went to there with my cousin, she is Ani.

After arrived in my grandmother’s house, I took a rest. At the evening,  I went to the garden to plucked any vegetables. After that I took a bath and then I went to center of that city for to walked with my cousin. I bought some snack and then we went home.

At the morning, I wake up at 04.00 a.m, and then I went to market with my aunt. We bought some fish, fruit and meal. After that, I help my aunt to cooked some food, because my aunt’s friends will come on my grandmothers home. Meanwhile, my cousin swept the yard and the floor. At 9.00 a.m, all of my aunt’s friends came in my grandmother’s home, during I and my cousin went to Borobudur temple. In there, we took some photos.

At the third day, I went to Parangtritis beach. I enjoyed beautiful scenery. After that, we went to Prambanan temple. In there, I met my friend, Lisa. We walked together, and Lisa bought some souvenir for her friends.

This was very interesting holiday that I ever had.

Example 2:

Mr. Budi’s family was on vacation. They are Mr. and Mrs. Budi with two sons. They went to Bali. They saw their travel agent and booked their tickets.

They boarded a large Boeing flight. The flight was two hours from Surabaya. On the plane the cabin crews were very friendly. They gave them news paper and magazine to read. They gave them food and drink. There was a film for their entertainment. They had a very pleasant flight.

They slept part of the way. On arrival Airport, they had to go to Customs and Immigration. The officers were pleasant. They checked the document carefully but their manners were very polite. Mr. Budi and his family collected their bags and went to hotel.

The hotel was a well-known four-star hotel. The room had perfect view of the park. The room had its own bathroom and toilet. Instead of keys for the room, they inserted a key-card to open the door. On the third floor, there was a restaurant serving Asian and European food. They had a variety of food.

The two weeks in Bali went by fast. At the end of the 14-day, they were quite tired but they felt very happy.
